What makes it different
Nothing is pre-filled with our numbers. A break-even appears once miles, fuel price and MPG are yours, and is marked incomplete until every cost line is filled; profit on a load is shown only then. A break-even built on someone else’s averages tells you about their truck, not yours.
What you do with the number
Your cost per mile is the floor: a rate below it loses money on every mile. The rate check and the per-load profit screens in the app measure offers against this number, not against a market average.

No. The calculation runs in your browser, and saving keeps the figures on this device.
Why is there no default cost per mile?
Because a default would be our number, not yours. The page shows a result only after you enter your own costs.
