Rate confirmation reader — what the contract actually says
Paste a rate confirmation or open the PDF and see the clauses that decide what you keep. Free, no account. The text of your document stays in your browser.
What it pulls out of the rate-con
- Detention: the hourly rate, the free hours before it starts, the cap on detention pay, and the window you have to report it.
- TONU (truck ordered, not used) and what it pays.
- Late-delivery and tracking penalties, and charge-backs.
- Payment terms, quick-pay fees and lumper terms.
- What the document leaves out — a rate-con with no detention clause is worth knowing about before you roll.
How it works
Every finding is shown with the exact wording from your document, so you can check it against the page. The reader works on text: paste it, or open a PDF that has a text layer. It reads the contract; it does not give legal advice.
Who is behind this rate-con
If the document names a broker MC number, the reader compares the name, phone and email on the paper with what FMCSA has on file for that number — scammers put a real broker’s MC on a rate-con next to their own phone and email.
Questions and answers
Does my rate confirmation get uploaded?
No. The document is read in your browser. We record which clauses were found, the figures in them and a one-way fingerprint of the document (so it is not counted twice) — never the text. If the document carries a broker MC number, that number is looked up in FMCSA when you press the check button.
Can it read a PDF?
Yes, if the PDF has a text layer. A scan or a photo with no text layer cannot be read on this page.
What if I paste a bill of lading or an invoice by mistake?
The reader tells you it looks like a bill of lading or an invoice and which document to paste instead.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no payment.
Which languages does it work in?
The page is in English, Spanish and Russian. It reads rate confirmations written in English.
